Stagecoach in Hartlepool operate a PVR of 35 (plus a PVR of 2 to cover contract services). The regular service PVR is split 97% (34) easyACCESS and 3% (1) high floor. The PVR of 35 is covered by a network of 11 services which stretches from Clavering in the North to Greatham in the South; Elwick in the West and The Headland and Seaton Carew in the East. In addition, longer distance flagship services 1 & 1A operate to Middlesbrough. All of the commercially operated services are easyACCESS, with Service 527 and the peak time contract services being high floor.
Fleet
Profile
The
Stagecoach in Hartlepool fleet comprises 43 vehicles, 84% (36) of which are
easyACCESS and 16% (7) high floor. The total
of 46 is made up of 1 Leyland Olympian, 1 Volvo Olympian, 5 Volvo B10Ms, 17 Dart SLFs and 19
Enviro 200's. All
of the Hartlepool fleet have received Stagecoach in Hartlepool livery, with the
exception of 16729 which has had the in Newcastle names removed by not replaced. The Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied SLF Darts,
with the exception of 34569, until recently carried branding for Service 1.
This branding is currently being removed, with 34550/61/63/64/67/68 having
lost the branding.
The Enviro 200 fleet have all had names applied to their front end,
following an engagement initiative in local schools.
Dart SLFs 34550/61-69 and Enviro 200's 39657-75 were delivered complete with the new style interior. The remaining B10M's at Hartlepool have all been treated to a full refurbishment. None of the remainder of the Hartlepool fleet have been refurbished or reupholstered.
SLF Dart easyACCESS saloons 33102 & 33488 carry "pants" style megarear advertisements for Megarider.
All of the Enviro 200's have scrolling orange Sentence Case digital destination displays while SLF Darts 33102, 33482-83/85-88, 34550/61-69 all have yellow non-scrolling Sentence Case digital destination blinds. Olympians 14676 & 16729 and B10M's 20120/1/24, 20695 & 20839/41 have yellow UPPERCASE digital destination blinds.

to go
for Sightings
The best place
to view all of the Hartlepool duties is from the junction of Victoria Road and
York Road in Hartlepool Town Centre. At
this spot it is possible to see all that Hartlepool have on offer on regular
services.

Several points
throughout the Town Centre, the junction mentioned above and points along either
York Road or Victoria Road are as good as any.
for Timetables
Stagecoach in
Hartlepool no longer have a travelshop, however the Arriva Travelshop on
Victoria Road generally has decent stocks of the all Stagecoach in Hartlepool
timetables as well as those for Stagecoach on Teesside service 36.
Hartlepool Central Library on York Road also holds a good stock of timetables.

DEPOT
Please
remember trespassing is illegal.Do not
enter any depot area without prior permission from Stagecoach.
All
of what is described here can been seen from outside the perimeter fence.
Stagecoach
in Hartlepool is based on Brenda Road Industrial Estate, close to the Town
Centre.
The
depot yard is spacious with basic garage capabilities.

The only entrance to the depot is on
Brenda Road.
The
main service fleet park up outside, with Deckers and single decks against the
perimeter fence backing onto Brenda Road. Withdrawn
vehicles are usually parked up in the back corner, opposite the service fleet.
Near
the entrance to the depot are the workshops as these are round a corner from
the Brenda Road entrance, its not possible to see whats inside.
Walking
round the two accessible sides of the depot gives a pretty good idea of whats
ready for service in there.

Follow
signs for Hartlepool, then Town Centre A179 or A689.
Pass Asda and Morrisions on the right.
At the junction with Wilkinsons go straight over, on Stockton Street
(A689). Then follow instructions
"from Hartlepool Town Centre" below.

Hartlepool Town Centre
From
the Town Centre follow signs for A689 Seaton Carew (Stockton Street).
Follow the A689 past Tesco on the left.
Keep going on the A689 (Belle Vue Way) to a large roundabout at its
junction with Brenda Road. Take the
first exit at this roundabout, to pass B&Q on Brenda Road.
Brenda Road Industrial Estate is on the right continue to the next
roundabout and turn into the Industrial Estate (Usworth Road).
The depot is on the corner in front of you.

the South
Follow
signs for A689 Hartlepool. Follow
the main road to a roundabout at the junction with Brenda Road immediately after
passing a Morrisons Garage on the right. Turn
right at this roundabout onto Brenda Road then follow end of "from
Hartlepool Town Centre" instructions above.
