Fleet Profile
City
Sightseeing South Tyneside currently has one dedicated tour bus, a H-registered
high floor open-top Leyland Olympian, 14671 H671BNL. This vehicle started life as a closed top
Northern Counties bodied decker with Sunderland Busways but was converted, by
Stagecoach, to Open Top in early 2007 in preparation for running the City
Sightseeing NewcastleGateshead operation.
14671 spent 2007 liveried for and operating City Sightseeing
NewcastleGateshead routes, but was repainted specifically for City Sightseeing
South Tyneside for the 2008 season.
14671
carries the distinctive City Sightseeing livery and throughout much of the 2008
season carried a rear advertisement for Newcastle College. During the 2009
season the vehicle carried no rear advertisement but carried lettering for City
Sightseeing NewcastleGateshead and indicating that the bus was available for
hire.
