These Enviro200 bodied MAN 14.240 vehicles were delivered from new to Stagecoach in Hartlepool in June 2008, the first examples of the type in the Stagecoach North East fleet. The 19-strong delivery saw the instant replacement of approximately half of the entire Hartlepool fleet, bizarrely giving the smallest operation a significantly higher easyACCESS percentage allocation than the major towns and cities also covered by Stagecoach North East.
All 19 Enviro200s were delivered to Stagecoach corporate standard with blue interior and individual seats. All of the batch entered service wearing Stagecoach in Hartlepool corporate livery with scrolling orange Sentence Case destination displays.
The arrival of the Enviro200s at Hartlepool ousted 19 Volvo B10Ms, being shared between Teesside and Newcastle (with both Walkergate and Slatyford receiving examples).
During late 2008, the batch began to receive names chosen by local school children. The names were applied to the vehicles in a similar style to that used for the NK06L-- MAN18.220s in Newcastle. Vehicle registrations and names are as follows (spellings, even where actually incorrect, were those applied to the vehicles):
|39659||NJ08CSF||FAIRY PRINCESS BUS|
|39660||NJ08CSO||THE JOLLY BUS|
|39662||NJ08CSV||BUMBLE THE BUS|
|39673||NJ08CTY||BROOM BROOM BUS|
Seen carrying it's orginal name Buzzy Bus 39668 was subsequently renamed Thomas Henry in 2012.

Spring 2012 saw two of the batch renamed in honour of two pairs of local bus spotting young twins. The first vehicle renamed appeared in March 2012, as BUZZY BUS 39668 became THOMAS HENRY. The following month saw BROOM BROOM BUS 39673 renamed SAMUEL JACOB. The same year saw 39669 receive an odd white front end panel following repair work.
During 2013 the whole batch were denamed, and now carry standard Stagecoach in Hartlepool livery.
Representing the current appearance of the type, 39673 is seen operating Service 7 to Owton Manor.
